What is a commissioned artwork?

An art piece that you ask the artist to create for you-  this includes what you'd like the painting to be of, the colour scheme and how you'd like it done.

What determines the price of art work?

Size, materials, hours. Certain art styles take longer to create, thus may have higher asking prices.

Shipping and packaging

Shipping- costs are determined by destination, size and weight. A detailed shipping quote will be sent to you for your approval, before we begin. 

Aproximate shipping in South Africa is R300 - R700 door to door.

Local shipping

The artwork is safely packaged in a box and is ready to display when it arrives.​

International Shipping

Your painting is rolled and safely packaged in a tube and will need to be re-stretched /framed by a professional framer. Care instructions: it is best to unroll and store your painting in temperatures above15 degrees Celcius /59 degrees Farenheiht. Try to store your painting flat until it is framed.

Unframed 

All art is on stretched canvas, unframed.

Depth of the canvas 

For local buyers who don't plan to frame the painting, I work on a thick depth of 45 to 50 mm. The paining is continues completely around the edge. This is a great, minimalist way to display your art without incurring framing costs. For local buyers who plan to frame the work, I will create your painting on a thinner frame.
